Plant Info and Care

Breathtaking Bristol Ruby Weigela is a beautiful flowering shrub that rewards with hundreds of ruby-red trumpet shaped flowers. Blooms from late May through June and into early July. Adds a vivid splash of color to your garden.

A well formed shrub, growing more upright than many other varieties of Weigela, this shrub is very hardy and thrives anywhere. May repeat blooms until frost.

Prefers full sun but will tolerate some partial shade. Adapts to most soils. Attracts is fragrant and butterflies and hummingbirds. A great cut flower.

Blooms on previous season’s growth so prune immediately after blooms fade to maintain good shape. Plant as a hedge, border, or as a beautiful exhibit of color in your landscape. Give adequate space, Weigela dislikes crowding.

Planting & Care: Dig hole twice the width of pot. Loosen soil and roots on the bottom of the root ball. Don't plant too deep. Plant level with surrounding soil. Cover area with 3" of mulch. Keep mulch 5" away from trunk. Water in well. Keep a regular watering schedule throughout the first growing season to establish good roots.
