I haven't seen many rats around these parts, but we do have a lot of mice, rabbits, deer, squirrels and raccoons. I can see that being a concern, since the garden is up against the house. But, I didn't see many tracks in the snow out near the garden. Im guessing everything froze up quite a bit. Very early spring, things were already starting to decomposed and I turned them into the soil. Everyone here had the same concern, but I charged ahead. I believe if anything was eaten, it wasnt much.
